82’: The Very Few
The true story of fighter pilots at war.
82’:The Very Few is a testimony-led documentary on the war in the skies above the South Atlantic in 1982. Through the eyes of both British and Argentinian pilots, this film reveals the brutal realities of fighter combat. Exposing a battle for survival against exhaustion, extreme weather and a determined enemy.
In April 1982, crisis erupts in the South Atlantic. 8,000 miles from home and outnumbered in the air 10 to 1 by Argentina, the task of retaking the Falkland Islands is deemed by many around the world to be impossible.
As the task force sails south and the world holds its breath, the Commanding Officer of the Sea Harriers onboard HMS Invincible receives a signal from the Battle of Britain Memorial Association:
“From the few to the very few, good luck and good hunting”
This is their story.
