82’: The Very Few

The true story of fighter pilots at war.

82': The Very Few is a testimony-led documentary about the air war over the South Atlantic in 1982. Through the eyes of British fighter pilots and veterans, the film reveals the brutal reality of aerial combat, exposing a relentless battle for survival against exhaustion, extreme weather, and a determined enemy.

In April 1982, crisis erupts in the South Atlantic. More than 8,000 miles from home and outnumbered in the air by ten to one, the British task force faces what many around the world believe is an impossible mission: to retake the Falkland Islands.

As the fleet sails south and the world holds its breath, the commanding officer of the Sea Harriers aboard HMS Invinciblereceives a signal from the Battle of Britain Memorial Association:

"From the Few to the Very Few, good luck and good hunting."

This is their story.
